The meaning of today varies from person to person, just like every other holiday we tend to celebrate. For instance, most of us grew up viewing today as a holy day because it represented the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, who was not only a spiritual leader but the son of God. It was his teaching that formed the basis of Christianity. Religion is still a big part of our society, but it is no longer ingrained into our culture as it was before. So, for some, today is all about Santa Claus, miracles, gift-giving, helping, and family traditions. Overall, it depends on the person, but today is all about God, Love, Giving, and Appreciation for my family! The real question is, what does Christmas mean to you?
